The IMAX Theatre SM Mall of Asia soars 8-storeys high. The projector uses a 70 mm film frame that is 10 times larger than the conventional 35mm film frame used in regular cinemas.

The IMAX Theatre SM City North EDSA, on the other hand is equipped with IMAX's digital projection system that delivers the key elements to deilver crystal-clear images.

The IMAX Theatres uses state-of-the-art digital surround sound system with 44 speakers that produce 14,000 watts of power. Sound quality is great no matter where you are seated! Each Theatre is acoustically treated to present accurate and realistic sound images with the largest dynamic range. This enables the sound to be crisp enough to hear a pin drop and precise enough to know exactly where it dropped.
